About This Committee

The United States Senate Caucus on International Narcotics Control monitors and encourages international compliance with drug control treaties and studies international narcotics policy. It investigates the flow of illegal drugs into the United States and evaluates international counternarcotics efforts.

The caucus examines drug trafficking routes, cartel organizations, fentanyl production and smuggling, money laundering, and the effectiveness of U.S. and international drug control programs. It holds hearings with law enforcement officials, foreign diplomats, and policy experts, and issues recommendations that inform legislation on border security, drug interdiction, and addiction treatment programs.
